Here I am switching between a French grip to play the ride and hi-hat and a German grip to play the toms and cymbals. Its the right hand where this is happening. Its the fingers and the palm making a squeezing motion that causes the stick to move.

Nothing better than making some noise on a sunny saturday morning. In case you feel the same I made a couple videos. The first one is full of triplets and quads etc. and is just a quick power station. the second one is a bit longer and my goal was to warm up both arms and legs. Next series will focus on swithching between french and german grips with my right hand

This little video I made by pointing the cam at a mirror. This allowed me to get a wider angle. The downside is a mirror produces less light than direct, so I had to over saturate the colors so you could see what’s going on.
